This safari taking visitors to no fewer than four magnificent destinations, full of wildlife and packed with some of the best adventures Tanzania can provide. Our first port-of-call will be huge, diverse Tarangire National Park,… to be followed by a visit to see the beautiful natural wonder of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with its incomparable crater. From there, we head to the endless plains of the magnificent Serengeti, where we are lucky enough to have extended time, before finishing our safari at Lake Eyasi and returning from there to the airport. We combine outstanding wildlife-spotting, incredible scenery and fascinating encounters with some of our tribes-people.

Itineraries
Day 1
Arrive in Tanzania
You will be picked up at the Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to Arusha town, at your arranged hotel. You will meet your driver guide who will brief you on your upcoming safaris, then rest until the next day morning.Day 2
Arusha - Tarangire National Park
In the morning you will start your safari with a drive to the Tarangire National Park. The park is roughly the size of Luxemburg and covers an area of about 2,600 km². Bush savannah, seasonal swamps and giant baobab trees make up the landscape of this nature reserve and the park is probably one of the best places in East Africa to see elephants. From the open roof of the safari vehicle you will be able to watch them and absorb the landscape. Apart from elephants, the park is also home to Masai giraffes, various gazelles, antelopes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, baboons and more than 500 types of birds. After an extensive game drive you will leave the park in the afternoon and drive to the camp.Day 3
Tarangire to Ngorongoro Crater
This morning we depart from Tarangire after a relaxing breakfast, with our goal being the remarkable Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Todays’s journey from Tarangire to Ngorongoro takes us to the northwest, a journey of around 4 ½ hours. From the rim, we admire the incredible view then descend into the vast crater itself. At one side there’s the Lerai Forest, classic mountain forest landscape with almost tropical characteristics. This is good elephant country, so keep your eyes peeled. By the side of the nearby swampland is what is sometimes called the ‘elephant graveyard’ as the mighty male tuskers at the end of their lives come to chew on the soft, swampland grasses once their teeth have failed them. The crater has a population of around 120 lions, with well-defined territories; 15,000 wildebeest, 9,000 zebra, 400 hyenas, and around 50 black rhino. Many wildebeest and other herd animals are resident, benefiting from the many sources of year-round waters and are boosted by some migrators in season. Buffalo, Thomson’s gazelle and eland are also present in numbers. Hippos can be found in pools and swampland and highland birdlife is colourful and plentiful around the waters. Flamingos can often be seen in Lake Magadi, which occupies part of the crater floor.Day 4
Ngorongoro Crater – Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast you will make your way into the Ngorongoro crater on a steep and narrow road. The slopes are forested but soon the landscape changes to savannah dotted with the occasional acacia tree. The wildlife here is absolutely breath-taking and if you are lucky you might spot the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard. The crater is also home to warthogs, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, hyenas and many more. After a morning full of game viewing and a picnic lunch you will leave the crater in the afternoon and head to Serengeti national park for overnight. Some interest facts about crater, The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest volcanic caldera, formed during the massive explosion of the volcano once higher than Kilimanjaro some 2 to 3 million years ago. The crater has the total area of 304 km², 600 m deep and the diameter of 20 km.Day 5
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti has really special sights, sound, and smell of Africa with stunning scenery, ever changing light and entertaining wildlife. In this park the animals don’t walk to any schedule so we may find lions, leopards, elephants, zebras, cheetahs, antelopes, gazelles, hippos and many species of birds and reptiles during our game drive. Here you might spend your day at the central park area or your guide will be knowing where to take you according to the season (migration of the animals).Day 6
Serengeti National Park to Lake Eyasi
After a morning game drive and lunch, this afternoon we will head south to Lake Eyasi, a journey of around 5 hours. Although we will have another chance this morning to marvel at Serengeti, perhaps today’s highlight will be our meeting with some of our country’s fascinating tribes people. Today, we will meet the Datoga in their traditional village houses. After lunch, we head south to Lake Eyasi. Here, we have an opportunity to remind ourselves that Tanzania is rich in human culture, as well as rich in fantastic wildlife. The Datoga tribe are our hosts this afternoon, as we are introduced to their village, customs and traditions. A colorful experience, not to be forgotten!Day 7
Lake Eyasi - Lake Manyara
After our morning visits to see the Hadzabe hunter-gatherers and the local blacksmith, we will have our breakfast before we journey the 2 ½ hours to Lake Manyara where we will have our lunch and then enjoy an afternoon game-drive. On arrival at Lake Manyara, and after our lunch, we get back into our vehicle to cover the highlights of this scenic park. Set against the rugged Rift Valley escarpment, and characterised by its shimmering lake, Manyara is rich in vegetation and the wildlife that thrives here. Enjoy the tranquillity as majestic pink flamingos wade elegantly, picking out a meal of algae from the shallow, alkaline waters. On land, Manyara’s terrain is compact, yet boasts differing environments such as diverse forests fed by waters seeping from the nearby escarpment. Monkeys are abundant, but look out too for the lions, giraffe, warthog and grumpy Cape buffalo who all call this park ‘home’. Hold your nose when we reach the hippo pool, because these big lumps smell!Day 8
Lake Manyara to Kilimanjaro International Airport
After our morning walking safari and our lunch, we will have a 3 ½ hour journey, covering the 175km back to Kilimanjaro International Airport. Our morning walking safari gets you very quickly into the safari mood. Accompanied by a park ranger, you will be so close to Mother Nature, discovering wonders too small to see from a 4x 4 vehicle. Perhaps your guide and ranger will explain the importance of the rhino-horned dung beetle, or exchange bird calls with the sulphur-breasted bull shrike. Maybe you’ll taste a desert date, a popular snack for monkeys! And all the time, you’ll feel the tension that only a walking safari can bring: the desire to find large mammals conflicting with the need to stay safe! In silence, in single file, you’ll make your way through the bush, perhaps stumbling across a giraffe chomping on high branches or a herd of elephants grazing gently. Don’t worry, your ranger is an expert: your safety is his chief concern.- Transfers in both directions between the International Airport and Arusha
